This motif originates from Akrotiri on present-day Santorini. The woman with a pearl necklace is part of a frieze on the north wall of the lustral basin (cult basin). Three women are walking to the right toward an altar on the east wall; hence, they are also called Adorers. The woman with the pearl necklace is depicted with her head in profile, her shoulders frontally, her chest in three-quarter view, and her lower body again in profile. In this way, she shares several stylistic similarities with depictions of Egyptian figures. Despite these "shifted" perspectives, this young woman captivates with a wealth of detail in her jewelry, the weave patterns of the fabrics, and the delicate transparency of her blouse. The elegance of Minoan women and their clothing continues to impress even today. Bring this beauty into your home! My painting takes every small detail into account, from the patterns of the fabrics to the faithful reproduction of all cracks, chips, and restored areas. This is craftsmanship of the highest caliber and museum quality. The original size of the fresco is 1.15 x 1.45 meters. It can also be made in other sizes. For a custom size not listed here, please email me at mail@anekah.de and I will send you an offer.
