I studied theatre painting and theatre sculpture at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and have been working independently for theatres, institutions and private clients since 2006.
I love ancient cultures and their picturesque works of art. I would like to share this joy with you and bring a spark of antiquity into your home.
What makes my wall hangings so special
The original murals were, of course, painted directly onto the wall, often as frescoes directly onto the still-damp lime plaster. This has ensured that we can still admire the brilliant colours today.
My replicas are based on a different technique: I transfer the motifs onto cotton fabric using acrylic paints. The magic comes from the precise painterly reproduction of the weathering processes. So you don't get a heavy plaster wall, but a feather-light, rolled-up package with your desired motif. It can be hung up very simply with a curtain rod and, if you wish, hung in a different place again and again. This way, this picture can accompany you for a lifetime.
This is also ensured by the high-quality cotton fabric, which is also used for stretcher-frame canvases, and, of course, the use of high-quality, lightfast acrylic paints.
You yourself can ensure a long life by displaying the picture in a dry place protected from the weather, preferably indoors. Just as you would treat a painting on canvas.
