This wall hanging depicts Aphrodite riding a goat. The motif is a greatly enlarged representation of a bronze mirror lid from the classical Greek period, which has oxidised to a green colour.
The material is a thick cotton fabric.
The picture is from 2003 and hung on my wall for a while, so there are a few small signs of wear. The sturdy cotton fabric is resistant to creasing and will certainly give you many years of enjoyment.
Aphrodite on a goat
This wall hanging is painted with acrylic paints on cotton muslin. It has a loop sewn into the top for hanging on a curtain rod. A loop is incorporated at the bottom so a rod can be inserted for a smooth, drapey look.
